    Shakespeare Storytime with Karen 9:40-10:30am PST

    Jan 20-Mar 24, 2021. $155/$170 (charter) per student ages 5-8 

    Each week kids can cozy up and hear another story of kings and queens, fairies, and tricks- a great way to introduce younger students to Shakespeare's plays. Then we will play games based off the stories that we have heard that will open up children's imagination to a whole other world. 

     

    Playwriting with Karen 10:35-12pm PST

    10 week session dates TBA. $195/$210 (charter) per student ages 8-12 

    Calling writers only! In other classes, students combine ideas to make one group play, and then perform it. In this class, kids get a real taste of the professional writer's life by writing their very own script. Each student will learn about play structure, great dialog, complex characters, and stage craft in order to create his or her own unique short script. On the final day, we will bring in professional actors to do a reading of each work so the writers can hear their words come to life. 

     

    The Sonnets with Karen PST 12:30-1:55pm PST

    10 week session dates TBA. $195/$210 (charter) per student ages 11+ 

    This class is for teens ready to tackle what makes Shakespeare great: his poetry. Students will study the meter, metaphor and genius of Shakespeare’s sonnets. We will learn how to decode complex language, essential for growing actors who what to take on Shakespeare's plays in the future. Each student will be assigned a sonnet to decipher and will perform it at the end.

    Commercial Acting and Auditioning with Karen 2-2:55pm PST

    Jan 20-Mar 24, 2021. $155/$170 (charter) per student ages 8-14

    Ever wonder how to break into the biz? Many actors start off in commercials! Learn what is expected in an audition, like slates, profiles, takes, and buttons. Learn how to have fun, get the callback, and book the job! Even if you aren't hoping to go pro, this class is a fun peek behind the scenes that will make you never look at commercials the same way again. 

     

    Younger Comedy Improv with Elliot 3-3:55pm PST  

    Jan 13-Mar 17, 2021. $155/$170 (charter) per student ages 7-10

    Improvisation is an enjoyable and safe environment for an individual to experience self-growth.  Plus it is SUPER FUN!  Through interactive activities and exercise, our students get the chance to experience growth on a physical, emotional and physical level.  This program teaches acting techniques AND improves confidence, has social benefits and promotes communication skills.

    Older Comedy Improv with Elliot 4-4:55pm PST  

    This class is FULL and forming a waitlist. Jan 13-Mar 17, 2021. $155/$170 (charter) per student ages 11+

    This class is catered to our older and more experience improv actors. Improvisation is an enjoyable and safe environment for an individual to experience self-growth.  Plus it is SUPER FUN!  Through interactive activities and exercise, our students get the chance to experience growth on a physical, emotional and physical level.  This program teaches acting techniques AND improves confidence, has social benefits and promotes communication skills.

     

    Learning The Odyssey through Theatre with Cy 5:30-7pm PST.

    This class is almost FULL.Jan 13-Mar 17, 2021. $195/$210 (charter) per student ages 11+ 

    Take your understanding of Ancient Times even deeper with a fabulous study of “The Odyssey”!  In this exciting new class, we will actively explore, learn and discuss this great story then jump to our feet with theatre exploration techniques to thoroughly understand Homer’s writings.  Students will be encouraged to read selections at home and explore the theatrical side.

     

    D&D Creative Writing with Cy 7-8:30pm PST 

    This class is FULL and forming a waitlist.  We may be forming a Tuesday evening class 6-7:30pm

    Jan 13-Mar 17, 2021. $195/$210 (charter) per student ages 10+ 

    Join us as we apply creative story writing, character exploration and storytelling through the vehicle of the ever popular fantasy building tabletop role-playing game D&D.  Each student will create their own character which will then embark upon a made-up adventure.  Our teacher will be our Dungeon Master serving as the game’s referee and storyteller. Students will work as a group and do a weekly character writing journal and take turns updating the weekly story summary journal.  Not only learning logic and problem solving, this will be a creative adventure for all! Please note:  The content can often be dark but we will strive to avoid anything too dark or demonic.

    *This program will take place on Roll20.net in addition to Zoom.
